Aston, Eutelsat partner on Digiworld Summit

Eutelsat has chosen to showcase Aston's Xena HD Twin Connect platform on its booth during the Digiworld Summit (19-21 November 2013) in Montpellier.

The new Xena HD Twin Connect platform is the first satellite receiver on the market to embed the 1.5 version of HbbTV and a digital rights management (DRM) stack to secure the download of encrypted broadband content.

It then allows satellite operators to offer HbbTV added-value services to their customers like VOD, catch-up and additional content while watching a programme, social TV or interactive EPG.

Eutelsat will also showcase the Xena HD Twin Connect's Fransat version.
