It's a plugin for md-api and dvbcore compatible applications like progdvb, altdvb, mytheatre and so on, and yes it also features an emu that you can use with a softcam.key file to decrypt stuff even without having a cardsharing server. It's a port of the current vdr-sc sources and supports everything that vdr-sc supports including cardsharing client and the cam part.You need a softcam.key file, the format is the same as for vdr-sc, so there are some differences to standard softcam.key which s2emu and the likes use, i think mainly with nagra2 stuff. You will need to install the VC++ redist. which I am including. In progdvb put pthreadVC2.dll in the root and EmuNation.dll in plugins directory. Not sure about the others. Remember this is a beta and I'm testing this myself so be patient when asking questions as I may have to ask other sources for help also :)

p.s. Since some freezing seems to be an on going issue. Let me say this...
"Use Max Parser" uses more CPU cycles. (This feature can be toggled from the menu.) Some older machines seem to have problems with the increased load. MT also uses MANY more CPU cycles while collecting EPG data. These combinations seems to be the reason why some freezing is seen. If you are having issues, you now know what to try.
