TVR head steps down

TVR romaniaClaudio Saftiou has resigned from the position of president and general manager of Romania’s national public broadcaster TVR.

According to Business Review, his decision to do so came only hours before a debate in parliament on TVR’s activities in 2012 that could have led to his dismissal.

Saftiou had only been in his post since June this year.
