Hi,
You have to use a loader as STBdownload for example in order to download files to the receiver. First, upgrade the firmware and after u have to transfer new keys each week. U can find all the files needed in this forum. For the cable, u need a DB9-F/ DB9-F cable null modem. U can find very cheap ones.
