I am new, need some details

I have buy a DM7020 from a canadian. (I live in Europe ;))

When i want to setup the DM, i found NO europeean satellite setting on menu, well i know it's normal as it was a canadian user.
I think i have to replace setting file from trinity in the DM.
OK for that could you confirm ?

Next, I see many image on the websites... in .nfi or .img What's the difference ?
which image could i put inside ?
I want to use also a Compact Flash or usb key to store the image
Is it possible ? How to ?
I see many how to but it's old web page...

I know too many questions... but i really need some little help

OK let´s see ...
Thats right. You need the new SETTINGS that i posted upload on your dream-to got all sattelites(also the europeans). You do this with the "Dreambox-Edit" Programm !

Also you need then a compatible Image for your 7020 from this site !!! You can take a newer one, but also the older are OK. What name the Image have and you like mostly-that have to find out yourself !
You can store the IMAGE on an USB STICK, after you put an actual Flash on your Dream.

If i understand, an image give lot of "specific" functionnality (i mean emu... etc..) and a DM Flash give a good basic functionnality

Can an image to be sotre on DM flash ? i think no but need confirmation

You said usb stick, and what about Compact Flash ?
Is it slowly or quickly with both ?

What I should consider if I were you is simply to take one of the numerous backup posted by other with already all settings, emus and so on ready to use.

ok i understand, but WHO could give me an image which is ready to use ?

Well, it seems to easy to take an image, i will do it if i can not manage this DM7020S ;)

However, i put the sat (dish) setting on dreambox, and it's ok i see the correct european dish.

BUT when i make a scan of programm i only have 26 channels on Astra 19° !!
WHY ?
Anybody have the answer to this problem ?
May i have a sat subscription to have the channel ?

Another question :
which is the best emu plugins ?
Mgcamd ? another ? (because there are too many plugin, and i have not the lucky to follow them since the begining)

Same for the image, i see Demini project 3.30 version and also many image !
