German telco Deutsche Telekom will add the video-on-demand (VOD) services operated by TV group ProSiebenSat.1 to its IPTV platform Entertain in spring 2014.
The agreement covers the online video library maxdome and catch-up services from commercial channels Sat.1, ProSieben, kabel eins, sixx, Sat.1 Gold and ProSieben Maxx.
Via the catch-up services viewers can watch over 1,000 full-length programmes after their TV broadcast free of charge, while maxdome offers movies, series, documentaries and children's shows for a fee.
Telekom will integrate maxdome as an app into Entertain's Medienwelt (media world) section. Customers will be able to sign up for the maxdome subscription package which costs €7.99 per month, but won't be able to pick individual titles for a single fee. This possibility will continue to be offered by Telekom's own online video library Videoload.
