problem with astra 4.8e

hi all, i seem to have a problem receiving a certain transponder on astra 4.8e (sirius). the transponder is 12188 h s/r 30000 fec 3/4 dvb-s2. i have a good signal for ALL the other transponders but this one jumps from good signal strength to none! is there a problem with the transponder or am i doing something really stupid? thanks

...i have an amiko alien 8900 receiver that is dvb-s2 btw...
