The DM8000 HD PVR translated the claim into action to unite digital consumer electronics into one device. It is all the more regrettable, then, that Dream won't be able to carry on the production of this groundbreaking multimedia center.

This is because several electronic components are no longer available. Dream Multimedia won't develop a successor of the DM8000. Nevertheless, Dream looks ahead to the future. At this year's Anga Cable show Dream lifted the veil and let visitors take a brief look at the Goliath project.

This innovative software and hardware platform will outshine everything Dream has developed so far.

Die DM8000 HD PVR hat den Anspruch, digitale Unterhaltungselektronik in ein Gerät zu vereinen, in die Tat umgesetzt. Umso bedauerlicher ist es, dass die Produktion dieser wegweisenden Multimediazentrale nicht mehr fortgesetzt werden kann.

Der Grund: Verschiedene Bauteile sind nicht mehr lieferbar. Dream Multimedia wird auch kein Nachfolgemodell der DM8000 produzieren. Dennoch richtet das Unternehmen seinen Blick in die Zukunft.
Auf der diesjährigen Anga Cable lüftete Dream ein wenig den Vorhang und ließ die Besucher einen kurzen Blick auf das Projekt Goliath werfen. Mit dieser neuartigen Hard- und Software wird Dream seine bisherigen Produkte in den Schatten stellen.

Production of genuine is cloased but you can still order some clones with ferrari card inside

I think the dm8000 got the best picture quality around ...but it is older model and therefore many users do not want to buy them anymore

there are faster models to buy now like vu solo2 or 7020hd but the quality of the picture is worse
