Globo adds Avenue Doomed and The Party to catalogue

Brazilian producer Globo continues to compile its portfolio for NATPE 2015 with the announcement of two miniseries to be included in its catalogue: Doomed and The Party.
thepartyCauã Reymond, known for playing Jorginho Brazil Avenue, stars in Doomed as a sommelier in the northeast of Brazil, which has witnessed significant economic changes due to major vineyards and the fruit export business.
According to Globo, Doomed, which comprises eight one-hour episodes, has scored average ratings of 30 points and a 57% share in Brazil, reaching almost 38 million people per day. On its premiere night, almost 30,000 mentions of the miniseries were made on social media and the hashtag #amoresroubados (the Brazilian title) was replicated over 15,000 times by Twitter users in the first two days following its debut.
In The Party, a body is found floating in a swimming pool during a party at the mansion of businesswoman Angela Mahler (Patricia Pillar). The miniseries is a re-make of a 1974 telenovela, one of Globo's major hits, and the entire story takes place within a 24-hour period.
The Party, comprising 15 one-hour episodes, reached an average rating of 16 points, a 37% share, and was seen by 24 million viewers in Brazil. In the last month in which the miniseries aired, there were more than one million references about it on social media.
