    Géant GN-CX 1200

    Hi,

All official firmwares for Géant GN-CX 1200 mod are listed there:

    http://www.zinetsatdw.com/index.php/.../42-gn-1200-hd

but I'm not able to download anything from http://www.gulfup.com (I made a PING, not able to reach)

Could you please mirror them? I only have v3535 but when I try to update this bin with USB it stop before the end.

At least upload the previous one: V3531_GPRS_GEANT_GN-CX1200_LED_RD.bin

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Best,

    TL

    Re: Géant GN-CX 1200

thank you i'll try tomorrow because i forget the remote control elsewhere...

it seems gulfup.com is back online... well almost...

do you mind to mirror this firmware listed bellow please?

    V3531_GPRS_GEANT_GN-CX1200_LED_RD.bin.gz
    http://www.gulfup.com/?MA395W

the reason is that i'm able to go to the download page but when I click on the download button, address dc282.gulfup.com isn't reachable for me...

    thanks a lot in advance

    Re: Géant GN-CX 1200

I've tried the v3531 extracted to image format .bin but I've got again the same error report: "no match file" (="sans fichier adapté").

I've always tried to to firmware updates with the USB option and FAT32 USB device with no luck.

I've no idea how to do update with ftp client or http because I'm not sure how to configure properly Windows 7 or Windows 8 to "see" the Géant mod and what settings should I choose in Géant menu.

If I try http: "Parse Update Info Error" in yellow text
If I try ftp: "Connecting To Server..." in white text and full black screen with only yellow Upgrade button & blue Download button and nothing else is happening...

By the way could you please give the IP address and port used by Géant to connect?

In Ethernet I've picked "Wired Network". (tried Wifi with no luck).

If I click on "search" menu I have:

Config Mode: DHCP by default (it alloys me to change to: DHCP/Boot/PPPoE/Static IP).

    IP Address: 10.241.106.92
    Netmask: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 10.241.106.1
    DNS Server: 109.88.203.3
    DHCP/Bootp Server: 109.88.203.3
    PPPoE Set: / (blank)

What (Where) should I do (go) in Windows?

I tried to turn off Comodo Firewall to do some tests but no luck.

In Comodo Firewall > Network Zones:

    * Loopback Zone

    * Home #1
    IP in 192.168.1.100 / 255.255.255.0
    IP6 in fe80... / 64

    In my Cisco/Linksys modem router:

    Encapsulation: RFC 2516 PPPoE

    Local IP Add: 192.168.1.1
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

    DHCP Server: Enable (ON)

DHCP Relay Server IP: / (blank)
    Starting IP Address: 192.168.1.100

Maximum Number of DHCP Users: 1 (tried 2 too)

    HELP PLEASE!!

    Hello,
ok you are correctly connected to internet,
when i say update by ftp, i mean from the setup of the box, instead of usb choose ftp, it should give you your version and the new version to download; ( sorry i have not got the box with me but i have had the same problem and sorted it for my son ),
another thing, i send you a dump to use preferably with a serial cable ( mini us - rs232 given with the box),
try it by usb, if no result you have to use the cable !!!

    Re: Géant GN-CX 1200

Nope... When I try ftp mode like I said earlier I only see this:

"Connecting To Server..." in white text and full empty black screen with only in the bottom yellow Upgrade button & blue Download button and nothing else is happening... No current version is given. No suggestion of another version either.

    Re: Géant GN-CX 1200

I tried the dump version with USB mode, same thing: "no match file".

I don't have a mini rs232 cable at home (it was not with the package)... I'm gonna look after one but I'm afraid it will be the same result...
