Indian Broadcasting Foundation re-elects Uday Shankar

Star India CEO Uday Shankar has been re-elected as president of the Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) for a second consecutive term.
The broadcasting industry association announced the news at its 16th annual meeting in New Delhi.
"I am humbled by IBF members' confidence in re-electing me. The broadcasting sector is going through a transition due to changes in technology and business environment, and I hope to work with the government, industry and other stakeholders for realisation of the sector's potential," said Shankar.
The IBF board also re-elected Punit Goenka, MD and CEO, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd as VP of measurement; Multi Screen Media CEO NP Singh as VP of distribution; and India TV chairman and editor-in-chief Rajat Sharma as VP of strategic affairs. Rahul Johri, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific EVP and GM South Asia, was re-elected as treasurer of the foundation.
