SPI International has signed a non-exclusive agreement with New Films International.

It covers TV and VOD rights to the latter’s content for a wide range of territories including CEE, the CIS, Baltic countries, former Yugoslav republics, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Commenting on the deal, SPI’s president Loni Farhi said: “NFI’s movies will enhance our arthouse programming and bring color to our actual Filmbox movie channels”.

New Films International CEO & founder Nesim Hason added: “I am extremely happy to be signing this deal with Loni Farhi and his team. SPI is doing so well I have no doubt that their brand will soon become a household name all over the world”.

Separately, UPC Romania recently launched the Cinema Combo Package, which includes four FilmBox channels and is bundled with the cable operator’s triple play packages.
