FilmOn has added four pay-TV HD channels from the Gone Viral Network to its over-the-top (OTT) service.
FilmOn is an Internet-based television service allowing remote computer and mobile device viewing of local and live TV. It licenses more than 600 additional channels, plus 90,000 video-on-demand titles. Now, Gone Viral TV, Gone Viral Music, Gone Viral Vogue and Gone Viral X-treme are part of FilmOn's paid subscription tier.
In 2011, Gone Viral TV (GVTV) launched its network of five pay-TV linear HD channels, targeted for millennials. GVTV packages and curates the most popular Internet videos from around the world. Network programming consists of back-to-back, made-for-Web, short-form videos of varying genres and commercial-free.
FilmOn continues to beef up its content. In September it announced a new comedy series hosted by Cheech & Chong star, Tommy Chong.
