American sports personality and TV host Katie Nolan has run up a record average audience, as 473,000 tuned in to the premiere of Garbage Time on Fox Sports 1.

Her epic takedown of Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy on 14 October set a show record for digital views.

Garbage Time also launched its first full-length podcast on Thursday, in which Nolan is joined by CNN anchor Rachel Nichols. The two discuss asking difficult questions to important people, the fear of being wrong as a woman in sports journalism and Hardy's recent comments.

Wednesday’s episode of Garbage Time was part of a blockbuster day for FS1 that included MLB playoff action: The Texas-Toronto Game 5 and Astros-Royals Game 5, the most-watched programme in the channel’s history (5,944,000 million viewers). It was FS1’s most-watched day ever, averaging 1,587,000 viewers, and earning FS1 the top spot among all ad-supported cable networks for that duration.
