TBS drew big ratings for Saturday's New York Mets vs. Chicago Cubs National League Championship Series.

Game one of the series, which the Mets won 4-2, drew 7.9 million viewers, the network's most viewed NLCS game one ever, according to Nielsen. The telecast is up 46% in total viewers over the network's 2013 St Louis Cardinals-Los Angeles Dodgers game one NLCS telecast, and up 34% over last year's ALCS game one telecast between Kansas City and Baltimore.

Overall, the MLB Postseason on TBS is averaging 5.9 million total viewers through 11 telecasts, up 41% over last year to rank as the network's most-viewed postseason coverage to date, said the network.

This year's baseball postseason is shaping up to garner viewership highs overall. For instance, ESPN's American League Wild Card telecast was the highest-rated MLB Wild Card Game ever.

That showdown, which saw the Houston Astros defeat the New York Yankees 3-0, delivered a 5.7 overnight rating, making it also the highest rated MLB game on ESPN in 12 years, according to Nielsen.
