How to block fake CWS

I think I've found a solution for this problem:


Since the r10919, Oscam includes a blocker for fake cws.


How to:


1. Compile or download a Oscam revision newer than 10919 and replace with it your old Oscam binary.
2. Download Attachment 268517 and extract it in your Oscam config folder.
3. Go to webif.
3.1 For CacheEX mode 2 go to the reader and enable: block fake cws
3.2 For CacheEX mode 3 go to the user and enable: block fake cws.
4. Restart your Oscam and try it.


It is working for me. Try yourself and comment here if it works.

It is not possible to stop fake cws, there are always new. So it is pointless!

The only way to effectively block fake cws is: removal of all peers using multics, because fake cws come from mcs! But it can also be difficult because even if you can block all mcs in your server, you can gets fake cws via any of your peers on higher hop. If you put in a clean network, only oscam's, you never get fake CWS. A good solution would be adding the option to block communication with mcs, like already have for csp.
