The advertising crisis in Spain seems to be a thing of the past and after a year of solid growth TV is predicted to draw over €2,000 million in ad investment by December 2016.

The quarterly i2p report published by Arce Media shows that the advertising industry has grown by 13.4% since 2013, and an extra 6.2% is expected for the last quarter of 2015.

As the dominant media industry, TV gathers nearly half of advertising investments, which means €1.96 billion will be invoiced in advertising by the end of 2015 and €2.09 billion a year later. At the end of 2016, both free-to-air and pay-TV will draw 49.6% of Spain's entire ad investment.

With current figures, the Spanish advertising industry has seen its sixth quarter growth in a row, having been on a downward slope since 2008.

All in all, 2014 and 2015 have been the years of recovery for the advertising sector and, as predicted, TV has emerged as the leader in a new scene in which the Internet also plays an important role.
