Level 3 has provided HD video streaming, among other communication services, for the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, in Lima, Peru.

For the event, which gathered more than 10,000 attendees from 188 countries, Level 3 delivered secure Internet services on IP for attendees' mobile phones, tablets and laptops, enabling video recordings and pictures to be sent in real-time by domestic and international media to their information hubs.

The company also deployed the Vyvx Platform to stream live, HD video directly from Lima to the World Bank and International Monetary Fund's headquarters in Washington DC.

In addition to video services, Level 3 managed security solutions to mitigate potential distributed denial of service (DdoS) attacks and deployed international connectivity for data transmission and international IP telephony.

"Peru was responsible for hosting an extremely important worldwide event. To Level 3, being part of this significant event has been a very positive and valuable experience," said Luis Ladera, data and Internet products director for Level 3 in Peru. "Cooperation and coordinated teamwork with a wide scope of companies, world organisations and state agencies were key for success."
