Orange has been selected by UEFA as the official telecoms service provider for Euro 2016, and will deliver the matches live.
Orange will deploy all fixed and wireless communications services for the football tournament, including delivering live signals to broadcasters from the ten stadiums in France, as well as providing staff, officials, media, referees and volunteers with connectivity through approximately 25,000 access points and mobile services throughout the competition.
Over 800 engineers and experts from Orange will be responsible for delivering UEFA Euro 2016.
"Euro 2016 will be one of the most connected tournaments that football has ever seen and we are proud to be able to help France stage and host it," said Beatrice Mandine, executive VP, communications and brand, Orange. "Our sponsorship of these games is just the start of a new legacy that Orange is building to connect people to what's essential in their lives."
"Orange's contribution to the transmission of the TV signal will ensure fans around the world are able to experience the excitement of the tournament at its best," added Guy-Laurent Epstein, marketing director of UEFA Events. "In parallel, our partnership will help UEFA to deliver the most digital and connected event ever."
