Kaltura is partnering with Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) on smart displays.
SIICA will integrate the Kaltura video platform into the Sharp AQUOS BOARD interactive display system for education and business environments. It offers communication, Web pages, graphics, video and more, with touch functionality also allows several people to write on the same touchscreen at the same time.
When paired with the Kaltura video platform, users can access features like screen recording through Kaltura CaptureSpace, directly from the AQUOS BOARD display. Big-screen learning experiences can also be recorded, shared and replayed from within the Kaltura platform anywhere, from any device.
"Sharp and Kaltura have bridged the gap between classroom and personalised learning," said Gary Bailer, director of product management, Information Display Products, SIICA. "The new Sharp AQUOS BOARD interactive display system brings cutting-edge, multi-touch technology into the classroom, while Kaltura's video platform helps continue student learning well beyond the classroom to more personalised, immersive learning experiences."
"We are excited to collaborate with Sharp to offer a more connected, interactive learning experience both in and outside the classroom," added Zohar Babin, managing director of VPaaS, Ecosystem and Community at Kaltura. "Collaborative learning tools are crucial to increasing student engagement and retention, and Kaltura is committed to helping our clients stay at the forefront of education."
