Ericsson completes Envivio acquisition

Ericsson has completed the $125 million acquisition of video encoding specialist Envivio.


The transaction was completed through a merger of its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Cindy Acquisition Corp, with Envivio. Envivio will remain a standalone unit and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ericsson.

The deal, announced in September, strengthens Ericsson's TV and media position by adding native video processing and encoding to the mix.
