Multi-platform 4K focus for Summit Seville

The 4K World Summit Sevilla is to address Ultra HD broadcasting technology on different platforms, including direct-to-home (DTH), DTT and online and over-the-top (OTT) services.
The international event, organised by production house Medina Media in Seville, will gather 4K companies from Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Australia.
At the same time the different speakers analyse the industry, workshops will be organised with the latest 4K technology from Canon, Dolby, FilmLight and SGO. The equipment to be showcased has already been tried out on first-line productions such as Stars Wars Episode VII and The Hobbit.
There will be live demonstrations of Ultra HD broadcasting systems and Spanish 4K films, including Pillars of Hercules, Birds, Into the Cave of Wonders and Flamenco Passion.
Round tables will be organised for and by the industry's experts, and companies including SES-ASTRA, RTVE, Cellnex, Hispasat, Dolby, Canon, BBC, Sky, Sony, Samsung and Grass Valley have already confirmed attendance.
The event is to be held in Seville on 5-6 November and reduced-fee inscriptions are open until 31 October.
