Televisa's talent show Pequeños Gigantes has premiered its second season on Spain's Telecinco at the same time as it debuts in Vietnam.

The format, originally from Mexico, continues to grow around the globe with Vietnam being the 13th territory, joining countries including the US, Mexico, Peru, Poland and Portugal. The Italian version is expected to launch next year.

Pequeños Gigantes registered a 23.3% share and reached over three million viewers during the debut of its second season on Telecinco. Televisa has reported that over 5,000 people have tried to take part in the show and 2,500 kids went through the casting process.

During its first season which aired in Spain's prime time slot, the talent show averaged a 23.3% share and 3.04 million viewers.

Production house Dien Quan was responsible for the Vietnamese launch on THVL1, a public channel in the Vinh Long region.

Both moves follow other successful launches, such as in Portugal, where the TVI channel, with a 36.4% share during the show's premiere, drew over double the viewers than its biggest competitor, SIC, which gathered a 15.3% share with Pop Idol.
