LG Smart TV to launch Opera TV channels

LG Smart TV will introduce selected channels from Opera TV's portfolio in eight markets.


Brands, broadcasters and content owners can extend their existing online video channels and video content catalogues to LG Smart TVs using Opera TV Snap. The first phase of the launch will include up to 18 channels each in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, US, Mexico and Brazil. Content ranges from movies and TV series, music, sports, news, lifestyle, and nature and travel, with more channels being added periodically.

Opera TV can be found in LG Smart World in the entertainment category, on both Netcast and WebOS device models shipped from year 2014.

This is the latest win for Opera TV. Recently it announced that Amazon Fire TV added several new niche video channels to its line-up, created with the Opera TV Snap technology
