BBC Worldwide Latin America and the Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network (HITN) are to deliver CBeebies' children's content to Hispanic preschoolers.

The agreement will create a BBC programming block within the HITN schedule, including some of CBeebies most watched Spanish-language content like Dinopaws, Mi Mascota y Yo, Dime Dime, Nina y las Neuronas and Katie Morag.

The project intends to help Hispanic kids practice Spanish while accessing basic science and maths knowledge prior to entering the school system.

"The new agreement helps to expand CBeebies' brand presence beyond our own screen and deliver preschool content to Hispanic audiences, encouraging development and learning," said Anna Gordon, executive VP and managing director, BBC Worldwide, Latin America.

"We are proud of partnering with BBC Worldwide and offer their content to our young audience," added Eric Tupin, general manager, HITN.

BBC Worldwide's announcement follows other launches of CBeebies in the US' Hispanic market, such as on the Dish-owned over-the-top (OTT) platform, Sling TV, in the summer.
