Bakcell is teaming up with pay-TV platform Digiturk to bring Turkish Super League football and other premium entertainment to its mobile and broadband customers in Azerbaijan.
The Digiturk entertainment service, branded Qoş və Coş, will comprise around 100 channels, including LIG TV for football fans – all available to view on connected mobile devices and computers.
“With this offer, we are increasing the number of unique services we provide our subscribers so that they can fully benefit from our super-fast 4G LTE network. We are very pleased to announce our partnership with Digiturk, Turkey's first and largest digital platform,” said Richard Shearer, CEO, Bakcell.
“We believe that the launch of high quality streaming content services in the form of live channels, replays, and much more, for a first time in Azerbaijan, will give our mobile internet a new meaning and even more value for our customers.”
Digiturk CEO Ertan Özerdem welcomed the collaboration between the two companies, and Azerbaijan’s “very strong cultural and historical bonds with Turkey.
“The agreement contains broadcasting of Turkish Football League, Turkish Basketball League and over 100 different channels of Digiturk to Bakcell's customers. Through this agreement, we will be able to deliver Digiturk's innovative IP and mobile services to our cross-border friends,” added Özerdem.
The Digiturk Mobile TV app is available for iOS and Android platforms for Bakcell customers. Subscribers can also watch the pay-TV channels on laptops or desktop computers via the Internet.
