Mediapro will be producing the broadcast of this weekend's Real Madrid vs Barcelona football march in Ultra HD, with Hispasat contributing to deliver it worldwide.

A mobile unit with 12 4K cameras will broadcast the signal to those operators requesting the Ultra HD feed. For now, Mediapro has confirmed TV stations from Germany, Hong Kong and Switzerland have shown interest in the 4K signal.

The transmission will be carried by Hispasat worldwide, as the satellite operator has proven experience with Ultra HD broadcasting.

Most international sports broadcasters have requested a HD feed, while ESPN, FOX Brasil, beIN SPORTS MENA, beIN SPORTS USA and DirecTV, among others, will have their own units at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. For the first time, Viasat will personalise its feed for the Nordic countries, and PPTV will do the same for Chinese fans.

The game will be exclusively filmed in Ultra HD by a Mediapro team with over 400 professionals, 37 cameras, six mobile units, five digital satellite news gathering units (DSNG) and 16 electronic news gathering units (ENG).

In Spain, Movistar+ has confirmed it will deliver an El Clásico 4K feed for its fibre-to-the-home subscribers with a Samsung UHD smart TV.
