Televisa Stands Up in Russia after Polish success

Aplauz, Aplauz!, the Polish adaptation of Televisa's Stand Up For Your Country format, has ended its first season being the most watched entertainment show at the same time as it premieres in Russia.



standupThe final episode of Aplauz, Aplauz! aired on TVN, reaching an average 11.8% share during the season and becoming the most followed finale ahead of Must Be The Music, a similar format broadcast by Polsat.

The talent show was originally produced by Zodiak Media and La Competencia, and a major deal gave Televisa worldwide distribution rights.

Coinciding with the end of the successful first season in Poland, Stand Up For Your Country premiered in Russia - the sixth country to air the format - as Two Voices.

Over 20 territories have acquired the rights to the format, including Spain - where its first season aired on Mediaset's Telecinco - South Africa, and several Latin American countries.

The show was also selected as being among the world's 20 freshest formats at MIPCOM 2014.
