Sub-Saharan Africa satellite TV platform DStv is launching a temporary pop-up kids channel with Turner Broadcasting for the Christmas holiday period.

Called Hoolee, the channel will be on air on the pay-TV platform from 1 December 2015 to 31 January 2016 and will feature children’s programming from Cartoon Network and Warner Bros.

“Hoolee will offer to the whole family programmes that they have always enjoyed, as well as new and refreshing, exclusive shows and movies. The range of programming is truly amazing,” said Pierre Branco, vice president and managing director, Turner Africa.

Tim Jacobs, CEO, MultiChoice Africa, added: “Imagine laughing, sharing surprising adventures and celebrating the summer holidays with your children every day, is the promise of the channel.”

Hoolee and its mix of animated shows and movies will be available exclusively to DStv Premium subscribers.
