As it continues to develop its international customer base, TV technology company Axonista is to offer The QYOU to its end-to-end interactive video platform Ediflo.

The Ediflo platform is designed to enable TV and video content owners to go to market with services that bring a layer of interactivity to the video itself and deliver an intuitive experience for the device the viewer is using.

Launched on-air in October 2014, The QYOU is claimed to be the world’s first 24/7 channel dedicated to bringing what it calls 'must-see' made-for-Web video to subscription TV screens. It is currently available in more than 35 countries across three continents, delivering its programming through a multiscreen media network comprising linear channel, video-on-demand (VOD) and mobile.

The QYOU’s clients include pay-TV operators and subscription video service providers around the world, ranging from traditional cable and satellite firms to IPTV, over-the-top (OTT) and mobile operators.

Commenting on the deal, Axonista CEO Claire McHugh said: “It’s fantastic to have the opportunity to work with digital innovators like The QYOU who are fully embracing the changing face of TV. It’s an incredibly exciting time for the TV industry and with clients like The QYOU, we are really at the forefront of the change that’s happening.”

Added The QYOU CEO and co-founder Scott Ehrlich: “When we first outlined our vision for taking The QYOU to mobile, we looked around for a partner that could bring a deep understanding of both the app world and the TV world. Axonista fits the bill perfectly. They’ve helped us to deliver a more customisable experience for users, while driving value for the subscription video providers that carry The QYOU on their services.”
