As a result of a successful first edition, Medina Media has already chosen dates for the second 4K Summit Sevilla.
Looking to gather the world leaders in Ultra HD technology, the event's second edition will be held in Seville between 10-11 November 2016.
The first summit was held at the beginning of this month and saw companies and broadcasters from 20 different countries, including Japan, the US, Germany, the UK and a solid representation of Latin American territories.
Analysing the multi-platform environment in which UHD TV is developing, the 4K Summit included speakers from SES Astra, RTVE, Hispasat, Cellnex, Eutelsat, EVS, Sony, Dolby, Samsung, Canon, Grass Valley, Movistar+ and Avid.
“4K Summit Sevilla met its goals and has made it possible for the industry to share,” said Antonio Paniagua from Spain's Ministry of Industry, at the event's closing. He also highlighted the need to find more common areas within the audiovisual sector so that 4K can reach a larger number of viewers.
