Cable & Wireless launched its first sports-dedicated HD pay-TV network, Flow Sports, across the Caribbean.
Flow TV customers in Antigua, Barbados, The Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Curaçao, Grenada, Jamaica, St Vincent, St Lucia, and Trinidad can now access new sports programming, featuring the best local and international sporting action.
“With Flow Sports we are changing the game,” said John Reid, president of Cable & Wireless's consumer group, which operates both the Flow and LIME brands. “Our goal is to be the No 1 destination for sports fans in the Caribbean. With our recently announced content partnerships –including 2016/17 Premier League football and the Rio Olympics – Flow Sports will offer our customers the best possible viewing experience with content they are truly passionate about.”
In addition, Flow Sports will air regional and international football, cricket programming, NFL regular season games, athletics, auto racing, Fed and Davis Cup tennis and rugby.
Flow Sports is broadcast from a newly constructed media facility in Port of Spain, Trinidad, which includes a new HD studio, a 4K-ready broadcast system and remote broadcast capabilities. In the coming months Flow Sports will expand across mobile platforms via the Flow ToGo application.
