Panasonic launches first value Ultra HD smart TVs for US

Affordability will be a key commercial development parameter for 4KTVs to take off, and to address this Panasonic has launched its first line of value-priced Ultra HD smart TVs in the US.



panasonic picThe aim, says the company, is to give more consumers a chance to bring home a 4KTV for the key Christmas/holiday sales period. Panasonic’s CX Series of 4K/Ultra HD smart TVs will now be available beginning in December at retailers including ABC Warehouse, Brandsmart USA, Curacao, Electronic Express, RC Willey, and Video Only and online direct from Panasonic. Additional retailers will be announced at a later date.

The CX Series features five models in screen sizes ranging from 50- 65” with two bezel colour options – black (CX400) and matte silver (CX420). Prices range from $799.99 to $1,499.99. All CX Series models feature built-in smart TV apps and Wi-Fi connectivity to enable access to streaming films and online TV content. Embedded smart TV apps for popular online content providers including Netflix, YouTube, Toon Goggles, Pandora and AccuWeather.

"We have brought that same technological know-how to our first line of value-priced 4K/Ultra HD TVs opening the 4K experience up to an even wider range of consumers who want Panasonic picture quality that fits their budget."
