Cable Onda distributes Atres Series in Panama

Atresmedia's series-themed channel Atres Series will be distributed by Cable Onda across Panama, both in standard and high definition (HD) in the operator's basic pay-TV package.



Through the agreement the channel is targeting a territory in which Antena 3 Internacional is already established. “We are aware of how much people like Antena 3 and our productions in Panama, which is why we are sure of Atres Series' success,” said Mar Martínez Raposo, international director, Atresmedia.

“We're happy to keep enlarging our portfolio, aiming to deliver the best offering to our subscribers,” added Nicolás González Revilla, general manager, Cable Onda. “This is why we are thrilled to reach an agreement with an outstanding network like Atres Series.”

Launched a year ago, Atres Series has already achieved a solid position in the US Hispanic market, where it is distributed by DirecTV, Cablevision, Time Warner and Charter, in addition to Liberty in Puerto Rico.

Its success overseas has led to the signal returning to Spain, where it has been re-branded to Atreseries and will be offered free-to-air on DTT.
