Argentina's cable TV organisation (ATVC) has handed out nearly 70 prizes at its annual awards ceremony, with HBO Latin America winning best fiction and documentary.
In a event held in Buenos Aires, the ATVC awarded six prizes for each category, namely cultural programme, sports, education, fiction, documentary, agriculture-related, kids, music, journalistic opinion, journalistic information, general interest and promotion, plus a special jury award.
HBO Latin America's El Negocio was awarded best fiction series on cable TV, while the company's Antes de que nos Olviden, also nominated for an Emmy International 2015, got the best documentary.
All the awards went to Argentinian networks or production houses except for two that went to the US (HBO) and three to Paraguay (Unicanal for a documentary, a news programme and an opinion magazine).
The special jury prize was awarded to an educational show, Cafe con Ciencia (Cofee with science), aired on Argentina's local network Somos La Plata.
