canal ceroFrom the start, the new pay-TV platform promises five hours of original production, complemented with new formats, series and sports.

In a country in which free-to-air (FTA) TV is king, Telefónica's platform has also managed to draw some of the best known names in television. Comedians including Andreu Buenafuente - formerly at Mediaset and Atresmedia, Berto Romero and Eva Hache, as well as journalists such as Jon Sistiaga and Iñaki Gabilondo - both related to Canal+ - are among the channel's hooks.

Sports programming will also be included in #0, although the most watched competitions like La Liga will remain on Movistar's football-themed networks. However, the new network will have, among other sporting content, the NBA, the Premier League, the Super Bowl and Formula One. The Champions League won’t be offered.
