A+E Networks is expanding the distribution of its factual entertainment channel History in Poland.

History has launched to more than 500,000 additional homes across the country on Vectra, one of the leading cable platforms in Poland.

History first launched in Poland in 2008 and is available in more than 4.6 million Polish homes.

“We are very excited about this launch on Vectra, as expanding the reach of History to new audiences is a priority for us,” said Izabella Wiley, general manager, A+E Networks Poland. “We believe that our channel will add tremendous value to Vectra’s offering and we are very pleased to be working with them on delivering great content to viewers in Poland.’’

History is available on Vectra’s Gold, Platinum and Super HD packages.

Małgorzata Wojtaszko, content manager, Vectra, added: “Our goal is to deliver great TV content for our customers and to offer the best entertainment channels in our TV packages. History is a channel with a unique slate of programmes that has proven able to attract viewers across the world. We are certain that our viewers will welcome History and look forward to including it in our basic package.”

This is the second time in a week that History has been in the news for global moves. It also announced a one-hour special event documentary on the recent terror attacks in Paris, which claimed 130 lives.
