One in three Argentineans are currently using a telecom service through ARSAT, the national satellite company, with this number expected to almost double next year.

arianepanoThrough satellite infrastructure, 88 digital terrestrial television (DTT) stations and a fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network, ARSAT is currently delivering digital services to 11.7 million people. During 2016, these figures are expected to grow to 21.5 million.

Argentina's public telco has two orbiting satellites, ARSAT-1 and ARSAT-2, and one more on the way, through which it delivers direct-to-home (DTH), video transport, Internet and IP-voice services on C- and Ku-band.

The telco is also in charge of deploying digital TV across the country, having so far 88 installed broadcasting stations, through which 82% of the country's territory (but only 10% of the population) is already covered by DTT.

In addition, ARSAT manages the federal FTTH network, which currently connects over one million homes over 12,000km of operative cable, although 32.900km has been built. By July 2016, 29,000km of network is expected to be working, covering over five million people
