Atresmedia returns to Albalá for live election coverage

Spain's Atresmedia has selected Albalá's systems to strengthen its equipment for live coverage of the country's general election.



chasisHaving already tapped Albalá's technology for distribution, control and deinterlacing systems, Atresmedia has now selected the series TL3000 to reinforce Antena 3 and laSexta's live coverage on Sunday 20 December.

The TL3000 series includes, among other features, a chassis able to host up to 12 standard definition (SD) video decoders.

The Spanish engineering company, which focuses on designing and manufacturing telecoms infrastructure, says it is increasing its commitment to innovation through this project.

A widely followed event, the Spanish general election is being shown through various broadcasting initiatives using the latest technology, such as the Hispasat-Telefónica live satellite broadcast.
