Direct-to-home (DTH) platform My-HD is to offer a dedicated South Asian package for subscribers the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC) and across the Middle East.
Maa Movies, Raj Digital Plus, ETV Cinema, Movies OK and Asianet Movies will provide films, while general entertainment channels Colors Kannada, Flowers TV, Maa TV, Zee Telugu and Zee Tamizh are also present in the My-Asia package.
“The Asian communities in the GCC have spared no effort ... to find a dedicated satellite TV network that can bring them their favourite native language movies, general entertainment, news of their homeland, and music, under one roof,” said Samir Safer, CEO, My-HD.
“My-HD’s South Asian package, My-Asia, is set to offer over 85 ethnic channels, in eight different languages, and covering in addition to key western channels such as Discovery Science, Animal Planet and Travel among others, a multitude of genres that are set to appeal to every member of the community.”
My-Asia will be available to subscribers from the middle of January 2016, to coincide with the festivals Pongal and Sankranti.
It follows the 2013 addition of the Pinoy package GMA to My-HD’s satellite pay-TV platform.
“We aim to bring as many communities as possible great content at affordable prices,” added Safer
