Espial preps gaming, sports apps for pay-TV

Espial has announced gaming and sports applications for its G4 STB Client, based on RDK and HTML5.
The company has partnered with games creator TransGaming to allow network operators to deliver immersive video user experiences to their subscribers, and with Philadelphia-based fan engagement technology company, OneTwoSee, to support value-added applications in conjunction with live sporting events.
At CES in January, Espial will demonstrate TransGaming's smart TV gaming suite. This portfolio of interactive entertainment includes GameTree TV, featuring family games and GameTree Casino.
"The partnership between TransGaming and Espial heightens the living room-based experience by offering of a new level of entertainment to pay-TV operators and smart-TV manufacturers worldwide," said Dennis Ensing, CEO, TransGaming.
Espial will also demonstrate a professional sports application developed by OneTwoSee, which enhances the live game viewing experience by syncing real-time team/player stats, injury reports, win probability and other functions, such as tracking sports fantasy stats.
