KlowdTV has revealed that it has successfully streamed the 64th Annual Miss Universe Pageant live in HD via Azteca America in Mexico.

The telecast was available on KlowdTV’s over-the-top (OTT) and website. Azteca America is available to subscribers of KlowdTV’s Canales Mexicanos package, for $3 per month or through a seven-day free trial. It is one of 29 streaming Spanish-language channels recently added to the KlowdTV line-up, which are available in micro-packages such as Canales Mexicanos, Canales Colombianos, Canales Latinos and Tus Deportes.

The Miss Universe Pageant is one of the most watched events in the world, with distribution in approximately 190 countries and territories. WME | IMG acquired The Miss Universe Organisation from Donald Trump in September 2015.

“Azteca America is KlowdTV’s first Nielsen-rated broadcaster, and for us to have amazing and popular programming like The Miss Universe Pageant is very exciting,” said Bill O’Hara, co-founder, KlowdTV. “Combined with our sports, entertainment and news channels, KlowdTV has become perhaps the most complete, convenient and cost-effective provider of Spanish-language TV anywhere.”

Among the other Spanish-language channels for news, sports and entertainment available via the service are Canal Tro, Stereo | Siempre + Musica, Tele VID, Telemedellin, Zoom, A Tres Series, Antena 3, Canal Americ, Canal Antiestres, Hola TV, MIS Movies, RT Español, SupereÑe, Tele Romantica, Trendy, AZ Cinema, AZ Clic, AZ Corazón, Canal 44, Canal 52MX, CB TV MICHOACAN, Promovision, TeleFórmula, TVC Latino, VideoRola, AYM SPORTS, LAS LATIN AMERICAN SPORTS and PXTV HD.

“We believe that people should only pay for what they want to watch, and that they should be able to watch TV however and wherever it’s most convenient,” added O’Hara. “That’s KlowdTV. Ultra-low prices, channels available either a-la-carte or in inexpensive micro-packages, and viewing on any device.”
