Rovi, AT&T agree seven-year renewal and expansion of licence agreement

Search and recommendation services provider Rovi has renewed its patent licence agreement with US premium TV entertainment and telco AT&T.



Rovi 06 Browse MovieThe seven-year deal not only extends the existing product agreements between the companies but also provides AT&T with worldwide access to Rovi’s entertainment discovery patent portfolio. With more than 5,000 issued or pending patents worldwide, the portfolio covers a range of digital entertainment capabilities across multiple screens and devices. It includes interactive programme guides, search and recommendations that enable personalised entertainment across linear, recorded and on-demand content, and multiscreen experiences.
