StarHub adds Wakuwaku Japan to channel line-up

Japanese TV channel Wakuwaku Japan is being added to the content offered by Singapore’s StarHub TV on 15 January 2016.
Most of the cross-genre channel’s programmes will be broadcast in Japanese with English subtitles, with selected shows being dubbed into English.
Content available on Wakuwaku Japan includes first-run drama series, anime and superhero series, kids’ programmes and cultural shows and documentaries. Hit drama Downtown Rocket, pirate anime ONE PIECE and cultural show The Wonder Japan – Takumi will be among the titles offered by the pay-TV channel. In addition, action from Japanese top flight football league the J.League kicks off in February.
“Japan remains one of the top destinations travelled to by Singaporeans. Its rich culture and wide array of delicacies are also well-loved by Singaporeans,” said Lee Soo Hui, head, media business unit, StarHub TV.
“We are confident that the launch of WAKUWAKU JAPAN, which will deliver a diverse and extensive variety of authentic Japanese content, will satisfy viewers’ voracious appetites for all things Japanese.”

The channel will form part of StarHub TV’s Chinese Entertainment HD Group, which can be subscribed to for a charge of S$8.56 plus tax.
