RR Media has renewed its contract with Fashion One television network.

RR Media will provide content management and global delivery services for nine of the network’s channels in multiple configurations, and localised versions both in SD and HD formats. RR Media has also added linear streaming to the service, delivering content to online platforms such as Daily Motion and YouTube.

Reaching an audience of more than 420 million households worldwide, Fashion One is one of the fastest growing and well distributed special interest channels in the world, available in more than six continents. RR Media’s global network delivers these channels with optimised distribution over satellite, fibre and the Internet; and it manages all the regional configurations and localised versions from worldwide media centres located across three continents.

“With the longstanding commitment to providing our viewers with the best viewing experience, we are pleased to partner with RR Media in providing the highest quality content to a greater worldwide audience,” said Gleb Livshitz, COO, Fashion One television network. “Together, we look forward to introducing the latest broadcast innovation by delivering Ultra HD quality experience and expanding the business horizon.”

RR Media recently made a significant boost to its distribution footprint by adding seven new video-on-demand (VOD) platform delivery options to its bouquet.

As part of the enhancement, RR Media says that it has on-boarded VOD platforms capable of directly populating a wider range of VOD libraries. The new multi-country and multi-region VOD platforms comprise Google Play, BT Vision, TalkTalk's blinkbox TV, Amazon Prime Video, British Airways' on demand entertainment system, Curzon Home Cinema and Wuaki.tv.
