Funbox enriches its native 4K content library with Red Bull

SPI International has beefed up its native 4K content offering on its Funbox4K/UHD channel with programming from Red Bull Media House.



The premium multi-thematic 4K/Ultra HD TV offering will now add the adventure documentary Explorers: The Rocky Mountains Traverse as part of the Explorer Series. The programme follows two of the world´s finest adventurers on the longest paragliding air journey ever accomplished. For their 35 days in the air the paragliding duo was nominated as the National Geographic Adventurers of the Year and the film is also part of the Banff Mountain Film Festival 2015.

SPI regards such content as fitting perfectly with the Funbox4K/UHD channel and its audience and added that it was looking forward to expanding its native 4K content library with more Red Bull Media House productions in the future. “SPI International is proud to introduce the world renowned Red Bull Media House content as part of its premium 4K linear TV channel and SVOD offer,” commented executive director Berk Uziyel. “We are very excited to expand the SPI’s 4K/Ultra HD library with the addition of titles such as Explorers: The Rocky Mountains Traverse, a Red Bull Media House production shot entirely in native 4K.”
