Zee advertising, subscription revenue rises

Indian broadcaster Zee TV has recorded a rise in both advertising and subscription revenue for the quarter ended 31 December 2015 thanks to improved and new channels, said its chairman.
Advertising revenues for the quarter were INR9.419 billion, recording a growth of 26.8% over the corresponding third quarter in FY2015. During the quarter, domestic advertising revenues stood at INR8.607 billion while international advertising revenues stood at INR812 million.
Subscription revenues were INR5,218 million for the quarter ended 31 December 2015 recording a growth of 17% over Q3 FY15. During the quarter, the company’s domestic subscription revenues stood at INR4.188 billion while international subscription revenues stood at INR1.03 billion.
Consolidated operating revenues for the third quarter of FY2016 stood at INR15.951 billion, recording a growth of 17% on a year-on-year basis. Operating profit (EBITDA) for the quarter ended 31 December 2015 was INR4.302 billion. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 27.0%. Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter ended 31 December 2015 was INR2.744 billion. PAT margin for the quarter stood at 17.2%.
