As part of what it says is its commitment to bringing viewers the best possible access to the world’s top sporting events, FOX Sports Asia is offering live coverage of all 411 matches from the Australian tennis Open.
FOX’s coverage will exceed 200 hours of live in-studio production from Singapore, with all matches being shown live across its flagship FOX Sports and FOX Sports 2 channels, as well as through connected devices on the FOX Sports Play app and on online on foxsportsasia.com. Tennis fans will also be able to catch multiple matches in a variety of camera angles. All matches will feature commentary in Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, Cantonese, Mandarin and Thai, in addition to English.
“Being the Grand Slam of Asia Pacific, it is really exciting to see how FOX Sports has significantly increased their live and on-demand coverage across multiple platforms,” remarked Richard Heaselgrave, commercial director, Tennis Australia.
“As one of our key broadcasters in the region, we are looking forward to engaging tennis fans with compelling viewing experiences, plus all the action from Australian Open 2016. The Australian Open is a marquee event for us and we are proud to be able to offer truly comprehensive coverage across all screens, providing viewers across Asia unprecedented access to the first grand slam of the year," added Rohit D’Silva, executive VP, commercial, and head of sports, at FOX International Channels Asia.
