RTVE leads Spain's audiovisual charge at NATPE 2016

RTVE's fictional offering together with its launch of Star HD channel will lead Spain's content portfolio at NATPE 2016.



The Audiovisual from Spain pavilion at the event will see RTVE premier its new American channel, Star HD, presenting both coverage and programming, and announcing some of its first commercial deals. The new HD channel started broadcasting yesterday (18 January) across the entire American region.

RTVE will also highlight series including Carlos, Rey Emperador, El Ministerio del Tiempo, Acacias 38 and Seis Hermanas, which saw success in 2015 and are ready for second seasons in 2016.

Carlos, Rey Emperador is a historical series directed by Oriol Ferrer which airs on Monday’s prime time. El Ministerio del Tiempo, a co-production with Onza Entertainment, has won awards at FesTVal, the Gold Pand Awards and the MiM Series.

Seis Hermanas and Acacias 38 are soap operas, both set at the beginning of the 20th century. Acacias 38, co-produced with Boomerang TV, has already been sold and adapted in Italy.

In addition, other series including Isabel, Olmos y Robles and Víctor Ros, and TV movies such as La Española Inglesa and Habitaciones Cerradas complete RTVE's portfolio for NATPE, which kicks off today (19 January) in Miami.
