Nahoo TV launches in Ethiopia

Kenya’s Nahoo LLC has announced the pilot launch of its Ethiopian entertainment channel, Nahoo TV, in conjunction with local company Tuba Multimedia.



“For three-and-a-half years, we had studied the feasibility of operating a private frequency on satellite. However, when this opportunity presented itself, we took it. The private frequency, is now a long-term project,” Kidus Dagnachew, CEO, Nahoo TV, told Addis Fortune.

The independent satellite channel is currently producing 12 different programmes, incorporating psychology, law, music and drama, the publication reported.

The pilot launch follows an agreement reached between Nahoo LLC and Ethiopia’s Tuba Multimedia in November, and subsequent research by the two partners.
